Until a few years ago I knew nothing about the embarrassing problem of puffy areolas}.
It was seven years ago that I first became aware of puffy nipples in men when I opted to use my many years experience of keeping fit by qualifying as a Fitness Instructor. Since my twenties I had been operating my own business or working as a self-employed salesman and was very much experienced in working long hours for all of those years.
At the risk of repeating myself,I had not really noticed it previously but several guys placed in my care in the gym seemed to have chest problems. When I started instructing I honestly thought that these men had too much fatty tissue in the wrong place and no proper muscular development but because some of my clients confided in me about their somewhat tender and puffy areolas, I decided to research the whole matter of the feminisation of mens' chests.
I found out that the puffy areola syndrome is a manifestation of gynecomastia, and is usually referred to as 'puffy nipples' and has been in existence for thousands of years. You may have seen statues and paintings of Egyptian pharoahs who quite obviously had female-like breast growth.
Although gynecomastia does indicate a build-up of glandular tissue which covers the male breast, very often this tissue build-up is located just under the the areolae area. The effect is to make the areolae take on a dome-like appearance which looks distinctly feminine and can cause considerable embarrassment to any male with the problem.
I initially came upon the puffy areola problem with 2 clients, one of whom was a businessman in his fifties and the other who was a retired businessman in his sixties, so I assumed that it was a condition afflicting just middle-aged and senior men. It did not take me long to find out that it certainly wasn't so! I also found one or two younger members in our Fitness Club talking to me because I had built up a good reputation.
My investigations on the Internet also demonstrated that guys between 14 and 16 years of age were even contacting forums seeking advice. What they should have been doing was telling their doctor first and receiving a qualified diagnosis but in the UK and the USA it seems that men prefer to make the physician their last port of call! It ought to by now be crystal clear that any man worried about his chest should get his doctor's diagnosis first.
due to being] overweight or obese, they have another condition called pseudogynecomastia which is simply an excess of fatty tissue across the chest. When a client has his doctor's confirmation of this, he can, with the right mindset and the assistance of his Fitness Advisor, achieve results reasonably quickly. The fatty tissue will, of course, quickly be replaced with muscular tissue.
It must be said that if an individual really has puffy areolas, then it is likely that his problem is gynecomastia, irrespective of his actual weight. With boys, most of them will lose their problem after two or three years, when their hormones attain equilibrium.
Mature guys, however, will need to have their problem thoroughly looked into to establish the cause or causes. Below is a list of the principal causes:
*Puberty, where a boy's hormones become out of balance... but the good news here is that 93% of them will see their condition disappear within 3 years.
*{At the other end of the scale, one of the effects of ageing is a lowering of testosterone production giving rise to gynecomastia|Conversely, from middle age onwards, a lot of males {suffer from|experience} a decrease in testosterone production and this can cause gynecomastia|A lot of men seem to get gynecomastia from their 50's onwards due to a fall in the production of testosterone}.
*Some prescription drugs, medicines, creams and ointments will change liver function which may give rise to feminising effects.
*{In a few younger men just consuming meat or milk from estrogen-treated livestock can trigger gynecomastia|In recent years it has been proved that meat or milk from estrogen-treated livestock can trigger gynecomastia in younger males|Some boys and youths have contracted gynecomastia simply by consuming milk or meat from animals treated with estrogen.
*Cannabis smoking over a period of time can also affect the balance of androgen and estrogen.
*Bodybuilders who resort to using anabolic steroids for any length of time will experience an internal reaction called 'aromatization' whereby the extra testosterone is chemically changed into the female hormone estrogen and they may well grow breasts.
*{Consuming too much alcohol for prolonged spells can also upset hormonal equilibrium and result in gynecomastia|Heavy alcohol consumption for prolonged spells will also upset hormonal equilibrium and give rise to feminine-looking breast development|Men who resort to consuming excess alcohol {stand a good chance of|may well find that they are} developing gynecomastia due to the fact that the androgen/estrogen balance has been destroyed}.
*Testicular Tumours.
*Cancer of the adrenal glands near the kidneys.
*Hermaphroditism or the state of possessing male and female organs.
*Kleinfelter's Syndrome, an unusual condition where a man has an extra 'X' chromosome.
*Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, a name given to a number of disorders caused by various enzyme deficiencies.
Drugs may or may not be necessary to restore hormonal balance but a change in diet and lifestyle along with a professionally designed workout program, will be not only useful but necessary in helping a guy to build a proper man's chest and say goodbye to his breasts and puffy areolas.
I did discover a handful of natural approaches which address the puffy nipple problem and can therefore suggest one to consider. Cliff Manchaster, who developed the Chest Coach System, himself put up with puffy areolas for sixteen years before curing himself and surprising his own doctor in the process. Specific exercises plus dietary, herbal and lifestyle guides form the basis of the program, which seems to have worked for many men.

In addition to being a Fitness Professional, I have been a gym user for over 40 years. During this time I have inspired and trained many men to achieve vastly improved Cardio-vascular fitness and, more importantly to them, a stronger and more toned body. Lots of these men had puffy areolas usually associated with the dreaded 'man boobs'. The latter were, as I now know, due to either gynecomastia or pseudogynecomastia, so all of this puts me in a unique position when helping men with all chest problems and giving advice on Lifestyle, Diet, Exercise and the ability to properly evaluate products designed to help with them.

In actual fact, this can be a valuable point to understand mainly because numerous products will hype a specific ingredient like retinol or glycolic acid, but after you read the strivectin face cream list, you are going to realize that the hyped ingredient is in the finish with the list, which implies it really is not discovered in a incredibly high concentration.
