The sad part about it is they're just not that important anymore, so they won't help you much at all. Instead of giving so much attention to your meta tags, focus on the main content of your site. That's where the real key to success lies with SEO. Content isn't everything, but if you'll see much better results with content optimized properly with your keywords. SEO can be learned if you do the proper research, even though the previously mentioned mistakes make it look quite complicated. Your first step should be to get clear how you wish to apply SEO, then you need to put your plan on paper and subsequently implement all the steps. The most important thing you can do for your site is to put in the work to generate organic traffic. The best thing you can do is to keep pushing until you see results, which you will.
