Pressure to succeed academically in this technologically driven age is becoming more and more important. More and more is being asked of our young people to achieve good academic results that will stand them in good stead for the future by providing them with invaluable skills for the future. Skills in subjects like Mathematics are becoming even more important as we are told that as a nation we are becoming more mathematically deficient.

Getting teenagers to understand the importance of working hard academically to achieve good results can sometimes seem like a losing battle. Mention GCSE Revision to the average teenager and you re most likely to get a chorus of groans and moans at just the thought of doing. The x box, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and the latest episode of their favourite soap opera seems far more appealing. Mentioning the word Maths provokes even more fear amongst teenagers, and adults alike who can remember struggling with the subject themselves when they were at school. A lot of teenagers convince themselves that they are no good at Maths, and simply give up at the first hurdle. It is so vitally important to instil confidence in Mathematics as much as possible at an early age. Without confidence progressing in the subject becomes increasingly arduous.

Far few teenagers see the importance of revising hard for their GCSE Mathematics, or indeed see the potential that achieving success in Mathematics has. Far few see the real applications of Mathematics from working in the financial sector to developing state of the art computer games with advanced artificial intelligence. If only they knew how exciting the subject can really be, if it were presented in a different light to them. So you may be asking how can it be presented in an exciting way? How can it be made painless to revise for GCSE Mathematics? Well Top Grade Tutoring believe that they have a Hi Tech solution.

Top grade tutoring have seen how well young people respond to visual material far better than written material. In the age of computer games and special affects the way we educate our young people must also change accordingly. With Maths revision a traditional GCSE Maths Revision guide may seem very daunting, with the sheer amount of content to learn. Top Grade Tutoring have developed a GCSE Maths Revision guide DVD that breaks up the GCSE Maths Syllabus into easy to understand bite size amounts for each of the four areas of Mathematics, e.g. Shape & Space, Number, Handling Data and Algebra. This can be played on a conventional DVD player or a PC DVD ROM drive. The DVD is presented using state of the art technology to help grab the attention of the user and make Mathematics seem more appealing.

The DVD has been well received by parents and teachers alike. It is even in use in some schools across the UK. This is what some parents have had to say about it:

Excellent quality product
(June Howarth, Hertfordshire)

Good Product!
(Tom O Hanlon, Northern Ireland)

(Yvette Thomas, Middlesex)

I wish my Maths lessons at school were like this
(Katie Dyer, West Midlands)

(Liam McConkey, West Midlands)
